Manifesto
Hand Bolted Book
Project Overview
The Manifesto Book is a hand-bolted book, influenced by Depero Futurista Book (The Bolted Book). Follows the thought of my perspectives on design, inspired by Futuristic Movements such as Fortunato Depero and F.T Marinetti, the works presented in the book reviews the aesthetics presented during the movement and how it can be influenced through present times.
Project Approach
Focusing on the aesthetics of Futuristic Movement, following similar characteristics from Depero’s book. Replicating and adapting new styles into the work allowed better understanding of the importance of typography. Through hierarchy, repetition or layouts, breaking traditional standards presents control through the movement, sound and emotions. Adding bolts onto the book allowed the piece to be held by industrials materials, allowing human made objects merge into the material.
